Indigenous peoples\u2019 involvement in climate negotiations and policy is critical. However, their involvement in the journalism that informs climate debates is frequently overlooked, with Indigenous People too often seen as the subjects of stories, rather than the tellers of those stories – the conveyers of information. Dialogue Earth\u2019s eight Indigenous Voices fellows seek to fill this gap. Reporting from across the Global South, they are providing their window on climate and biodiversity crises and solutions. In this panel, a number of fellows will introduce their reporting and discuss the importance of Indigenous journalism for climate action. The discussion will be accompanied with photography and videos taken by the fellows during their recent reporting trips. COP30 aims to have the largest representation of Indigenous Peoples of any COP. Indigenous journalists must be central to that. The information and insight they provide the world is critical in transforming words into action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
