A conven\u00e7\u00e3o, aprovada no Brasil pelo Decreto Legislativo n\u00ba 143\/2002 e em vigor desde 25 de julho de 2003, estabelece que sempre que medidas legislativas ou administrativas \u2014 p\u00fablicas ou privadas \u2014 possam afetar esses povos, deve ser realizada consulta livre, pr\u00e9via e informada, garantindo que tenham voz nas decis\u00f5es que impactem seus territ\u00f3rios, modos de vida e direitos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O encontro tamb\u00e9m discutir\u00e1 estrat\u00e9gias para enfrentar a n\u00e3o observ\u00e2ncia desses protocolos por empresas e governos, fortalecendo a autodetermina\u00e7\u00e3o e o protagonismo ind\u00edgena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A iniciativa refor\u00e7a que a consulta n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma formalidade, mas um processo pol\u00edtico essencial para garantir direitos, proteger modos de vida e assegurar que as decis\u00f5es sobre os territ\u00f3rios sejam tomadas coletivamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participantes confirmados: IDGlobal, Observat\u00f3rio dos Protocolos de Consulta e representantes de comunidades ind\u00edgenas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SERVI\u00c7O<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roda de conversa sobre Consulta e Consentimento Livre, Pr\u00e9vio e Informado<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local: ARAYARA Amazon Climate Hub &#8211; R.
