AFRICA SOFT POWER @ COP30
Africa Soft Power (ASP) proposes a compelling exhibition and high-level panel at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, as part of its global Climate Change Photo Essay Prize tour and the broader Road to 100 Million Climate Soldiers in Africa initiative. The exhibition, showcasing powerful photography from young creatives across Africa and its diaspora, will be paired with a timely panel conversation on the role of climate literacy, storytelling, and Afro-diasporic solidarity in shaping effective, inclusive climate action. In its most recent edition, the prize received submissions from 27 countries, culminating in a powerful collection of visual stories that are both deeply personal and universally resonant. The COP30 stop in Belém is part of a global exhibition tour, and will follow successful showings in Nairobi, London, and New York (UNGA80), reinforcing Africa’s growing leadership in global climate discourse.
