HIMAZON VR: Bridging Himalayan and Amazon Indigenous Communities

HIMAZON VR – Bridging Himalayan and Amazon Indigenous Communities is an immersive documentary connecting two ecosystems of planetary significance, the Himalayas and the Amazon, through the lived experiences of the Bakarwal people and the Aldeia Ni Shuvini (Shanenawa). The project highlights that the crises faced by these communities are not isolated events, but part of a global climate emergency demanding urgent response.

At COP30, the activity will include VR exhibition and a 45-minute panel with representatives from both communities and the creative team, fostering dialogue on resistance, conservation, and ancestral knowledge.

Currently in a fundraising phase, HIMAZON is led by an internationally recognized team in immersive media and climate advocacy, ensuring artistic, technical, and political excellence. By blending technology, culture, and solidarity, the project aims to expand ecological imagination and amplify Indigenous voices at the forefront of the climate crisis.
