Indigenous women
Women and Climate: Living Stories of Adaptation and Resistance

This exhibition and participatory workshop invites attendees to engage with the voices and stories of elderly Indigenous women from Bolivia, whose lived experiences and ancestral knowledge offer powerful insights into community-based climate adaptation. Developed by Climate Reality Canada in partnership with the Centre for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI) and APCOB (Apoyo Para el Campesino – Indígena del Oriente Boliviano), the event combines excerpts from a multimedia exhibition with interactive dialogue and collective reflection. By centering the voices of women often excluded from formal climate spaces, this session explores feminist and decolonial approaches to resilience, and opens space for cross-cultural exchange. The activity may also include contributions from the Latin America Branch of Climate Reality, strengthening South-North collaboration and regional representation within the broader movement for climate justice.
